Full Coverage/Physical Damage Insurance

Full Coverage, also known as Physical Damage Insurance or a Fire, Theft, and Collision policy, protects your vehicle from damage or loss. It combines:

• Collision Coverage: Applies to damages from collisions with another vehicle or object.
• Comprehensive Coverage: Covers losses from fire, theft, vandalism, or other non-collision incidents.

This type of policy typically pays for the lesser of:
(a) the cost to repair your vehicle to its pre-loss condition, or
(b) the cost to replace it with one of similar kind and quality at the time of loss.

Full Coverage policies are subject to a deductible, which is the amount you pay out-of-pocket before the insurance applies. Note that this policy is separate from liability insurance, which covers bodily injury or property damage to others.
